Discover Our Story
Chef Khalil Rashwan, born in Alexandria, Egypt, grew up surrounded by Mediterranean flavors, sparking his love for cooking. Moving to the USA at 15, he honed his skills in Manhattan’s Little Italy, learning from Italian “nonnas.” After earning a Culinary Diploma and opening two successful restaurants in Pennsylvania, Chef Khalil pursued further studies in Switzerland. His talents then took him to Malaysia, where he starred in a cooking show. Now, he brings his blend of traditional Italian recipes and modern twists to Adelaide with his fine dining restaurant, Nonna & I.
